Scope DJ (NL) -
In 2008 Scope DJ joined the Scantraxx forces. This passionate producer and DJ from Kampen is responsible for megabits such as 'Lockdown', 'Rock Hypnotic' and 'Househeads' as well as many remixes he did for other big players in the scene. He has already played at many big events such as Defqon.1, Hardbass, Decibel, Q-Base, Reverze, In Qontrol, Tomorrowland, X-Qlusive and many others in many countries including the Q-Dance World Tour in Sydney (Australia), on the Mondaybar cruise (Norway), Global Gathering (Poland) and more! His list is impressive and he has only just begun! In early 2010 Scope DJ started in a new and professional studio , producing tracks for himself as well as the Second Identity project, which is a successful collaboration with DJ A-lusion. The future is looking bright and the music's sounding right, be sure to keep an eye and ear out for more music from Scope DJ!.

DJ Slipmatt (UK) - "Matthew Nelson aka the legendary Slipmatt is one of the biggest if not the biggest original rave DJ ever. Matt has played all over the world, mixing and spinning across every continent and all over the UK. He started his professional DJ career in 1989 when he was the original resident for Raindance. He also released his first single in 1989 called ‘Do That Dance’ which was the first SL2 production with best friend and fellow DJ ‘Lime’. Matt then went on to experience untold success as SL2 with chart hits such as ‘DJs Take Control/Way In My Brain’ and 'On a Ragga Tip'. At this time, Slipmatt and DJ Lime were propelled into the media spotlight with many TV appearance's including Top of the Pops and Dance Energy. In 1993 Matt set up a new project with the SMD series (Slip Matt’s Dubs), which was a big part in laying the foundations for the then new style Happy Hardcore sound. Since then Matt has compiled and mixed numerous compilation albums which collectively have sold millions of copies, including classics like ‘United Dance – The Anthems 1 & 2’, ‘Moondance - True Rave Anthems’ and ‘Helter Skelter series’ with Ministry of Sound to name just a few. To date Matt's work has not gone unnoticed by his adoring fanbase. In the 90s both Dream Magazine and M8 voted him 'Best DJ', with a nomination for 'extreme international competition' by Muzik Magazine and he also received the title of 'Best Remixer' from the readers of M8, and deservedly was awarded for 'Outstanding Contribution to the Industry' from Kiss 100. In 2006 Slipmatt was awarded ‘Best Old Skool DJ’ at the only ever Official Old Skool Awards in London which was voted worldwide by the public and more recently Slipmatt was winner at the 2010 Nu-Rave awards for ‘Best Producer’ and ‘Best DJ’ and ‘Music Scene Award’ and ‘Best DJ’ again in 2011. In 2006 Slipmatt and good friend DJ Billy “Daniel” Bunter created another new sound which they called ‘Ravebreaks’, a fusion of breakbeats mixed with anything from traditional rave sounds to electro to full on vocal songs. 2011 has been by calculation Slipmatt’s 22nd year in the business, an achievement that he is truly proud of and after all these years is still extremely busy and still on the cutting edge of the dance scene bringing his fans the newest upfront music around as well as all the classics that he has always been famous for. Slipmatt continues to attract capacity crowds across the globe with DJ sets that never fail to deliver on expectations". "Habitat are proud to present a very special evening with house legend Derrick Carter + asked him to bust out a seriously extended set for us at Geisha. Widely acknowledged as one of the best DJs in the world, with innovative productions, flawless technical skills and an effortlessly joyful attitude of rocking a crowd, his influence has infiltrated throughout the spectrum of dance music. In 1988 Derrick, fellow DJ Mark Farina, and friend Chris Nazuka released an EP as the group Symbols & Instruments. The record had a strong influence on the burgeoning ambient techno movement in England. While it wasn't a commercial success, it established Derrick as an international figure in the underground dance-music scene. Since then the pioneering, innovative tracks and consequent critical acclaim have marked Derrick out as one of the most important players in dance music - notably through his releases on Classic, the label he founded with Luke Solomon. Derrick's first release was as Rednail with 'I Think of You', followed by 'Nu Pschidt' and 'Hope' under his own name. 'Nü Pschidt' combined woven scatting with sleepy minimal beats on 'Dreaming Again' and skillfully cast his own low, sexy drawl over his trademark Carter grooves to form 'Boompty Boomp Theme' - a name which has become synonymous with Derrick's sound since his mom's critique of his music reached the press! To drum & bass fans the world over the names Calyx and TeeBee are synonymous with high quality, perfectly sculpted music. Just as Michelangelo discovered statues in blocks of stone, so Calyx and TeeBee discovered the essence of D&B locked away in studio equipment; always forward-thinking and packed with as much integrity as energy; their music has had an impact on the scene for over fifteen years. While Calyx & TeeBee’s first collaborations emerged in 2004, their history and friendship dates back to 1998 when they were introduced as label-mates of the legendary Moving Shadow imprint. In the following years the two artists accumulated astounding solo back-catalogues of releases on a glittering array of D&B’s most respected labels. When Calyx and TeeBee finally decided it was time to work together in the studio, the first tracks they produced (‘Follow The Leader’ and ‘Cyclone’) were highly acclaimed by the music press. Mark Pritchard (Warp/UK) - quite simply one of the best producer/djs on the planet today. Having put out numerous incredible releases on Warp Records, Hyperdub, Dedicated and Sonar Kollektiv amongst others, Pritchard has in recent years focussed on his two Warp Records projects, Harmonic 313 and Africa Hitech (with Steve Spacek). However over the years he has used pseudonyms such as Marcos Pritchiardos, Link, M Meecham, NY Connection, Roberto Edwardo Turner, Troubleman and William Parrot as well as being part of Chameleon, Chaos and Julia Set, Jedi Knights, Global Communication, Pritch and Trim and the list goes on and on... This humble man has created a mountain of incredible music over years. Pritchard the DJ is a force. His previous sets in Perth, no matter who he has played with, have been the highlight of the night. Expect hip hop, monstrous bass sounds, a bunch of dancehall, perhaps some jungle and who knows where the man will go. We are truly honoured to have Mark play Easter Thursday at the Bakery for us. And we look forward to more music from the man himself, whatever moniker he may use.
Dan The Man (Cardboard City/MEL) - aka Dan Dare needs little introduction to Perth audiences. Over decades in this city, Dan was a true innovator and pioneer of electronic music. Hosting the Full Frequency show for over 15 years, Dan was the number one tastemaker in the realm of underground electronic sounds in the west. His career as a Perth DJ has few peers. From playing at massive raves in the early 90s, to legit super-parties in the early 2000s, Dan pretty much played all the big shows. Dan formed the Fat Fluid crew and presented the best underground hip hop shows here for many years. Introducing all to incredible music as a radio host, a promoter and as a DJ, it will be great to have DTM back from Melbourne, where he now resides, works at Australia's biggest community radio station 3RRR and hosts radio show The City Rises. His new album on his own Cardboard City is due out later this year.

DJ Ravine - Unashamedly forward and upfront in his style, he mixes up all manner of genres from Electro all the way to Uk Hardcore. Genres are simply a boundary and boundaries are always there to be crossed. Bursting onto the scene in Youtube's infancy back in 2007. At the time, it had a max video length of 10 mins so Ravine began uploading what is now known as the "Ten Minute Mix". Because of the time constraint, the mixes are full of quick mixes and cuts with music constantly being switched up. Today, DJs on Youtube have embraced the Ten Minute Mix and hundreds are uploaded each day. From this, Ravine has gathered over 150,000 subscribers and well over 30 million video views. Among his most popular videos are his Rebecca Black Friday mix, Gangnam Style Goes With Everything and his WE LOVE ELECTRO mix series.
DJ Weaver - Over the past decade, music has been the passion behind Weaver, from DJ’ing to producing, Weaver is well known throughout the global rave scene, he has built up a strong fan base and a reputation as Australia’s NO1 hardcore DJ & Producer, with well over 100 releases under his belt, to holding residencies at some of Australia’s most recognized club nights and events, featuring tracks and mixing some of the world’s biggest hardcore CD compilations, touring throughout Australia, Europe and Spain, all leading him to be signed to the world’s biggest hardcore label Raver Baby Records. As for his DJ’ing & productions, he has been voted several times in the Australian ITM DJ Top 50 DJ’s, coming as high as 31st throughout Australia! Pushing the boundaries with his production, Weaver has been featured on nearly hardcore CD compilation including Bonkers, Hardcore Heaven, Masif Hardcore, Hardcore Till I Die, Hardcore Nation and many more!
Audio Damage - A universal name in Oz Hardstyle - Ever since 2004 he has had a multitude of hit tracks such as ‘Garlic Breath Tosser’ ‘Pain’ and ‘The Devil Within’. These releases were received well by the public and were played at many major events throughout the world including; X-Qlusive Holland vs. Italy (NL), Defqon1 (NL), Q-Base (DE) and many more. It was in such demand legendary DJ Isaac asked to license one of the tracks for his CD ‘Under the Needle’. With only a couple releases down Audio Damage had already fittingly established his name within the Hardstyle community both aboard and in his home town of Sydney.

Nasenbluten - hailing from Newcastle (Australia) pioneered Australian Hardcore Techno, Gabber, and Breakcore music, releasing a variety of styles of ‘hardcore music’. The group was founded in the early 1990s by Mark Newlands, Aaron Lubinski and David Melo. Nasenbluten are known for orginally producing music on Amiga personal computers using tracker software. They also created ‘Bloody Fist Records’, releasing several styles of hardcore electronic music between 1994-2004. Nasenbluten‘s emphasis on breakbeats & ironic audio samples became influential in the hardcore scene. Nasenbluten released a number of EPs on ISR including a ‘Bloody Fist Sampler’ (which included a number of other artists from their labels). Their tracks were licensed to many compilations including ‘Thunderdome’ and on labels such as React, ID&T and Sound Base Music. Nasenbluten also remixed ‘Insurge’ which was released on Warner Music Australia.

Basement Sessions crew present this huge DnB event - "Current Value, a name synonymous with dark, hard and experimental drum and bass is returning to Perth for the first tme since Therapy Sessions in 2009 on his Stay On This Planet LP Japan/Australia tour. Berlin's Current Value (Tim Eliot) represents the forefront of the underground DnB scene, and is a rapidly emerging force in the harder, more techy end of the Dubstep spectrum. His forward thinking production combined with a highly technical approach to music and lean, tight arrangement, makes for some of the most instantly recognisable music currently released. Current Value has collaborated or remixed practically every big underground artist in the scene including Noisia, SPL, Limewax, Counterstrike, Donny, The Outside Agency and many more as well as receiving support from a very wide range of artists including Aphex Twin. He has even recently worked with Bjork on her album Biophilia."

DJ Lucy Fur (UK / Vicious Circle Recordings) - It all started in a shed with vinyl decks 13 years ago. Since then the unimaginable has happened. After 12 months of solid practice Lucy decided to play her first gig on a table set up in a small pub in Hertfordshire. If you had told her then, that within a decade she would have been playing for the biggest Hard House brands in the world to thousands of people, touring the globe, headlining events, playing main stage weekenders and being a long standing resident for super-clubs Storm and Frantic- there is no chance she would have believed it. The last five years we have seen Lucy play at the biggest events in the UK, and has been lucky enough to play main stage five times at Koko in London for Frantic’s epic events. She has done numerous Ibiza Bootcamps where she is a firm favourite and is a quarterly regular in Ireland. In 2011 she toured New Zealand playing for Frantic in Auckland and Hardbeat in Wellington where she left an impression musically and personally. Alongside all this she doesn’t miss playing for the Best Club Night 2010 and 2011 at the Hard House Awards, Storm. Lucy became runner last year to legend Karim as Best Resident for Storm.
